Today in Concord!

TODAY in Concord! In advance of Sunday’s memorial tribute to Lincoln, the First Parish Church bell will ring at 3:15p.m. today, signaling the end of the Civil War 150 years ago.

Author Rick Frese will be one of the participants in Sunday’s commemoration of Abraham Lincoln and the end of the Civil War at First Parish Church.

In April of 1865, Concord mourned the assassination of President Lincoln with a memorial service at First Parish in Concord featuring a eulogy by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
